Edo Decide 2016: A winner has Emerged, Inec declare APC candidate Godwin Obaseki winner of the Election in Edo State

Godwin Obaseki, the All Progressives Congress (APC) party candidate in the gubernatorial election in Edo State, has won the contest in the two-way race with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), winning most of the votes. Pastor Ize-Iyamu of the PDP came second in the votes collated and announced by INEC.

The Independent National Electoral Commission, announcing collated results across the state, said APC won 14 of the state’s 18local government areas.

APC rejoices, as they emerge as Edo state next governor for the next year.
