Photos: Passengers Arrested with fake currencies notes of about 2 million Euros

Two passengers were on Thursday arrested by customs officials at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) while trying to smuggle fake currency.

Confirming the incident, the Kenya Revenue Authority announced that the fake currency amounted to over 2 Million Euros which is equivalent to over Sh220 Million.

“Customs officers intercept two passengers at JKIA travelling from Nairobi to Dubai trying to smuggle fake currency approximately above 2 million Euros,” KRA wrote on its twitter handle.

One of the passengers had a Norwegian passport.
